Reminiscing

Sarah's 8th birthday is quickly approaching. We are getting the plans together for family and friends to join us in April for her baptism. As I am getting this together, I have been thinking back over the last two baptisms we have had. This is the last of my girls to be baptized. This is a picture of the girls just before Mary's 8th birthday. They look so young. We had just moved to Chicago Illinois. For Mary, we took her to Utah and had her baptism with family and friends there. My brother had just had their youngest daughter Natalie, so we were able to bless her and baptize Mary the same day. It was a great experience. Four years later and an additional child, we baptized Kate. We were leaving Illinois, just after her 8th birthday. It was a crazy time. However, we were blessed to have family there as well as really good friends. We were able to share this experience with some great neighbors and friends in our lives. Very different circumstance than Mary. Yet still a wonderful experience for Kate. It was hard to leave such good friends. Now here we go again. Six years after Mary was baptized, we are getting ready for Sarah. Where does the time go? They grow up so quickly.
