Last Hurrah!

So for the final weekend of summer, we went school shopping, we had a neighborhood barbecue and went swimming to close the pools for the season. We started Saturday with the shopping. Grandma came to visit and told the girls they could each have an outfit. It was a long day, but they got some cute things for the school year. We did the shoes and the supplies and the backpacks, etc. All in all it was a productive day. Sunday after church, the neighbors gathered in the backyard for the last barbecue of the summer. Everyone brought something to share. There was a ton of food and kids. I am posting pictures of the event. We had food, talent and some exercise. We watched the kids dance and sing. It was a fun evening. On Monday the kids went to the movies and then we went to the pool for the last day they are open. The pools were packed. More so than they have been all summer. The kids saw their friends and played. It was a fun day to spend at the pool. That was the weekend. A fun and somewhat relaxing end of summer!
