The Cousins Came

So the AZ cousins came for a two week visit. Not all of them, but three of them, flew by themselves to Dulles airport for a two week stay with Grandma and some of their favorite Aunts. They were on the go the whole time. They arrived in the wee hours of the morning on July 19th. When they awoke that day we did what every young girl wants to do, shopping. We hit the mall. The next day they drove to Philadelphia and spent some time on the DUCK. They toured Philly, went to an outdoor concert and drove to a hotel outside of NYC. Saturday was spent in NYC. They saw a broadway show. Les Mis. Went to the American Girl Store NYC and Toys R US. They then drove home to Aunt Amy's in Jersey. Got up on Sunday and drove back to No VA.
On Monday they participated in my summer experiment, cooking classes for kids. We made some fun food and the kids loved doing

things themselves. They are working on their fruit pizza's here. They turned out very yummy.

After a few days of cooking camp we met them at Bush Gardens in Williamsburg. A day at the amusement park for all. Here are Kate and Jade. AKA Jamie and Jessie. They were twins, or wanted all to believe they were. Quite the little pair.

Then we have Amanda and Sarah in England. Harry Potter phone booths as they called them. It was fun to have them playing so nicely together. Then there were the munchkins, Sarah played on both teams. Mackenzie and Drew and Sarah here in the balloon rides. They had a blast too!

Last but not least the Teenage cousins, with the twins. :-) Mary and Alayna, they were also twins from England. Spent two weeks speaking in a british accent. They were quite a pair as well. Shopping and life defying rides were their sport.

After our day at Bush Gardens we took our family to the beach. Here is Drew running from the waves at the beach. They loved going there and it was a beautiful day to be there.

Believe it or not we actually did one final day at Bush Gardens before coming home and trying to get a little rest. Amanda, Alayna and Jade returned to AZ on August 1st. Boy did we have fun. With this much activity it is good they only come every other year. We do wish that we could see them more often. I am sure it would be just as much fun.

Thanks for coming girls!! We miss you!

Is that a huge sandcastle in the background of the last picture? It's fab!

It's quite rare, now, to see those red phone boxes in Britain.

Yes, you've been busy. I agree, every other year would be ideal.
